What is confirmed about GTA 6
A handful of facts are locked in because Rockstar has shown them directly, in the official trailers and on the Rockstar Newswire. These are the load-bearing facts the rest of this hub is built on.
- Platforms Confirmed PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. This is a current-generation, console-first launch. Rockstar has not announced a PS4, Xbox One or PC version.
- Release date Confirmed 19 November 2026. Rockstar has confirmed the launch date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Setting Confirmed The game is set in the State of Leonida, a fictional take on Florida, with Vice City as its main metropolis.
- Protagonists Confirmed Two playable leads, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, in a Bonnie-and-Clyde style story. You switch between them.
- Publisher Confirmed Developed and published by Rockstar Games.
That is the honest, confirmed picture. Notice what is missing: a price, an edition list, a mission count, a map size, an Online launch date. Those have not been confirmed, so on this site they live under a clear leak label, never in the confirmed column.

The story so far
Rockstar's reveal sets up a clear premise. Lucia Caminos is introduced leaving Leonida Penitentiary, looking for a fresh start. Jason Duval is a former soldier scraping by in the Leonida Keys. The two come together, an easy score goes wrong, and they are pulled deeper into the criminal currents of the State of Leonida. That is the confirmed frame of the story.
What we do not know is the chapter structure, the number of main missions, or how the ending plays out. You will see leaked claims about a five-chapter structure or a "100+ missions" count, and we cover them, but every one of those carries a Leak / unverified tag because Rockstar has confirmed none of them.
